10th IDEAS English Students' Conference

ESCape, the English Students’ Club invites you to the 10th IDEAS English Students’ Conference, taking place on April 10, 2026!

IDEAS is an opportunity for English students across Europe to present their research, gain feedback from established scholars, and exchange ideas, in a friendly environment. The conference takes place under the auspices of the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno.

We will also accommodate online presentations, via MS Teams. The conference is open to English students of all degrees (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral) as well as to a public audience.

There is no entrance fee. The only official language is English.

You can present research in the following categories:

• Linguistics
• English Language Teaching
• Translation
• Literature
• Cultural Studies

The presentations should be approximately 20 minutes long.

To apply, email us the abstract of your research to esc.english@gmail.com (no longer than 300 words) by February 28, 2026. Upon receiving an email confirming your participation, you will be asked to provide your presentations by April 3, 2026.

Please send your abstracts in a Microsoft Word document along with your name, the name of your university and whether you will be participating in present form or online. Include a short introduction (a paragraph will suffice) that will be included in the Book of Abstracts and will help panel moderators introduce you and your research before your presentation.
